Where do I meet my Liberia Airport Shuttle? LIR International Airport (officially named Daniel Oduber Quiros International Airport but most commonly referred to as the Liberia, Costa Rica International Airport) is a small airport when compared to most international airport in the US, Canada and Europe. Most transportation services are found just outside the only arrivals terminal after you have gone through immigration, have claimed your luggage and have cleared customs. In our case, our drivers will meet you just outside this terminal and will be recognized by the “LIRShuttle.com” signs they will be holding.

What if my flight is delayed or cancelled? There are no penalties or additional fees for waiting time at the airport, so if your flight is delayed we will automatically set the meeting time to that provided by the airline at no extra cost. In the rare case of a flight cancellation, please give us a call or send us an email letting us know your new flight information into LIR and we will update your confirmation. If your flight into LIR diverted to SJO International Airport (about 3 hours south of LIR) we can coordinate for pick up at SJO (additional charges will apply).

What is your luggage policy? There are no luggage restrictions, but it is very important that you let us know in advance if you will be traveling with excess luggage (more than 2 pieces of luggage per passenger) or large and fragile items. We will do our best to accommodate your needs or suggest alternative ways to get your oversized luggage to your destination.

Are car seats required? We highly recommend you bring your own car seats if traveling with infants and small children, but we do have a limited number of car seats available in case you don't wish to bring them. It is worth mentioning that some vehicles are not equipped with 3-point seat belts or anchor points in the back seats, so if you bring your own seats they must be able to be secured with just a lap belt. By Costa Rica law all children must travel in their appropriate car seat.

You can rent our vans for day excursions to destinations like Monteverde, Arenal, Nicaragua, etc. For families or groups of 3 or more people this can be a much cheaper option to organized tours.
